WhatsApp Chat Widget Generator

A WhatsApp chat widget is the floating button that sits on the corner of a website and opens a chat with your number when clicked. This generator produces a single self-contained snippet — an anchor tag, an inline SVG icon and a short CSS block — that you paste into your site and it works. No JavaScript library, no account, no tracking scripts.

What the generator controls

Four settings drive the output: the phone number (with country code, digits only), an optional prefilled message so visitors land with the first line already typed, the position (bottom right or bottom left) and the button color. Everything else — size, shadow, hover effect — is a sensible default you can edit after pasting. Because the code is plain HTML and CSS, you can change any value without learning a widget platform.

Where to install it

Paste the snippet just before the closing </body> tag, or in your site builder's custom code box. It works on plain HTML sites, WordPress (via a custom HTML block), Shopify, Wix, Carrd and most landing page builders that accept custom code. On mobile the button opens the WhatsApp app; on desktop it opens WhatsApp Web or prompts a download — the same behaviour as any wa.me link.

Test before you trust it

After installing, click the button yourself from a phone: does it open WhatsApp with the number, and is the message prefilled? A widget that opens the wrong number is worse than none. Keep the prefilled message short — very long texts get cut off in some WhatsApp versions. Also check the widget against your page's own fixed elements: a chat popup or cookie banner in the same corner will fight the button for attention.

Beyond the button

A widget gives visitors a way to reach you; it says nothing about whether anyone answers.
