02 · The Meta fee question
How Wati handles Meta message fees
Wati bills a seat price and adds per-conversation charges on top. In WhatsApp API plans, providers are billed by Meta per conversation, and resellers can choose how much of that fee to pass on. Wati charges per conversation in addition to the seat price, which is why a $49/mo account can carry a several-hundred-dollar Meta bill at higher volumes.
03 · Where the bill grows
Costs that are easy to miss
- Per-conversation fees on top of the $49/mo seat price - at 5,000 conversations a month this can exceed the seat price itself
- AI sales agent and advanced features gated to higher tiers
- Higher tiers are quote-based, so the published price is only the entry point
- No booking system included - salons and clinics add a separate booking subscription
- Contact or user limits on lower tiers that force upgrades as you grow
04 · The Wutt side
What the same setup costs with Wutt
Wutt starts at $11/mo with booking and store chat built in, and passes Meta's message fees through at cost with no markup. The same 1,000-conversation month that costs $49/mo plus per-conversation fees on Wati costs $11/mo on Wutt, with Meta's fees billed by Meta in both cases. At 5,000 conversations: Wutt is $99/mo; Wati is $49/mo plus per-conversation fees that typically push the real bill well above that.
05 · The honest verdict
Is the price fair?
Wati's pricing is a classic two-part bill: an affordable-looking seat price, then per-conversation fees that scale with your success. The platform itself is mature and its 14-day free trial is genuinely free - but if you compare only the advertised seat prices you will underestimate the real cost by a wide margin.
Questions buyers ask about pricing
Yes, as of 4 August 2026 Wati lists a Starter plan at $49/mo. But per-conversation fees are billed on top of the seat price, so the real monthly cost depends on your message volume.
No. Wati is a WhatsApp CRM and broadcast platform; appointment booking is not part of the base plan. Businesses that need booking typically pay for a separate tool.
Meta charges per conversation once the free service conversations run out. Providers like Wati resell API access and can add their own margin on those fees. Wutt passes them through at cost.
From $11/mo with booking and store chat included, with Meta fees passed through with no markup. Wutt also offers a $1 first month.
