What you need to set one up
Meta asks for a small set of business details before the account can hold a number.
- A Meta Business Manager account for your business
- The legal business name and details
- A phone number you can confirm with a code
- A display name that matches the business (this is the common blocker)

The display name rule
Meta checks your display name against the registered business identity. A display name that reads as a personal name, a promotional phrase, or a mismatch with your documents gets rejected — and connection can be blocked.
- Use the exact business name customers know you by
- Avoid extra words like 'official', 'best', or 'deals'
- Match the name on your website and documents
- Wutt checks this before you attempt connection

Users and roles
Once the account exists, you invite team members and give them roles.
- Admins: full control, including display name and users
- Users: can send messages and manage templates
- Each person signs in with their own login — no shared passwords
- Roles are managed in Business Manager and reflected in the Wutt workspace

Verification and what changes after
You can connect and start messaging with a basic account, but verification changes the ceiling.
- Unverified: works, with lower sending limits
- Verified: higher rate limits and full platform capabilities
- Verification is free; Meta reviews documents, not money
- A verified account also qualifies for the green badge review in some cases

Common questions
No. The app is free software on a phone. The Business Account is Meta's cloud-side account for the API. You can have one without the other.
Creating the account takes minutes. Verification, if you need it, takes a few business days.
Meta returns the reason; fix the name to match your business identity and resubmit before connecting the number.
You need it for any API-based messaging. The Business App route does not use it.
